when I got my head superglued
Once I went to my friend Angela's house for a sleepover. Her sister Lauren had invited her friends Elle and Gabby over. Later we watched Toy Story 2. Then we went to bed. I shared the top bunk with Angela. Elle thought we should throw stuffed animals around. I started throwing Angela's bears down and I accidentally threw down my blankey that I always sleep with. When I got it back I layed down ( but not very carefully,) and I bonked my head. All of the sudden, I noticed I was bleeding. I had cut my head open a little bit. I ended up going to the emergency room with my mama to get it super glued. I got to get Lucky Charms and gum. Later I got to go back to have breakfast with them. When I got back they were making cards for me.

Martha, I think it would be interesting to hear more about the moment when you hit your head. You make it sound like it was so calm. Was it really? How did everyone else respond when they realized that your head was bleeding?
ReplyDeleteHi Martha! Thanks for sharing your story! Were you sad when you had to leave the sleepover?
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the snow day!

Hi Martha!
ReplyDeleteI love the title of your story! Were your friends excited to have you come back? What did some of the cards say that they had made for you?
Hope you are enjoying the snow day!

Hi Martha,
ReplyDeleteWhat adventures you have. Were your friends really scared when they found out you were bleeding? Was the blankey the one I made for you that you sleep with every night? Is the super glue still in your head? We have about 12" of snow outside and sorry you only got rain but at least you had a day at home. Loved your Snow Day Dance.

Hi Martha,
ReplyDeleteI love the words you used to explain how they fixed your head at the hospital. I thought you were going to say stitches but, you said SUPER GLUE. WOW, that is really a cool way to fix a cut. Thanks for teaching me something new!
I like your story and it helps me remember the sleepovers I had with friends!
Great job!

Isn't it funny how sometimes things don't work out the way we planned it? I am glad it was a small cut and you were allright. When I used to go to the doctor my grandmother would buy me comic books to read. I loved getting comic books. I wonder what I would get if I was young now?

What an exciting story, I never knew there was human super glue.
ReplyDeleteHi Martha,
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading your story. What a cool thing to do writing on a snow day. Did you know that when I went to school we did not have snow days? We just walked to school in the deep snow and had fun playing in it. How is that for a history lesson?
Love,
